Some people have said this is Shirley Temple's best film.It's not my favorite but I admit it is very,very good.and it has some of the most touching,wonderful moments of any of her films.In fact,there were several times in the first part of this film that produced tears in my eyes.A funny part of this film is that Heidi receives a music box with her grandfather's house inside it.She has fond memories of him.This is one of my favorite movies of all times.Love of family,love of friends,interesting locations and people all make this a great family movie.And to boot,it's one of Shirley's best,which puts it at the top.Put your sophistication and thinking hat away,and sit back and enjoy the emotions this film evokes
Director Allan Dwan ensured that the book's high points were included in the film & Fox gave HEIDI very good production values - note especially the scenes of village life in Dorfli - and a fine supporting cast:gentle Jean Hersholt,perfect as the old Grandfather,gruff & lovable; droll Arthur Treacher,his comic English butler is definitely not in the original book,but he is hilarious nonetheless; Marcia Mae Jones as crippled Klara; Sidney Blackmer as her wealthy father; Sig Ruman as a police captain and elderly Helen Westley as the blind Grandmother.
Perfect entertainment for youngsters who will probably fall under Temple's spell by the time the movie is over.

Brave Heart,the winner of Oscar Prize,is about the war between England and Scotland.
But in the movie,the most important thing is not fighting.It is the pursuit of freedom that attract me most.In the age mentioned in the movie,England ruled Scotland in a cruel way.People in Scotland rebelled.
Wallace,leader of the rebellion,was a real hero.He fought bravely with his soldiers,for neither wealth nor power.What they want the most is that they could live a free life.
After long-time fighting,the rebellion was beaten down and Wallace was arrested.The ruler gave hime a last chance to confess and promised him if he did so,he might not be sentenced.
But what's Wallace's choice.At the last of his life,he abandoned the chance to survive and cried out,'freedom'.This was the word that all people in Scotland wanted to say.
This movie is my favorite.It tells me that there is something named freedom which is more important than life.

Rainbow is always after clouds. The key point is that whether we have a good mind and an opportunity to ourselves to change bad situation. The movie also sends such a message to us: do well what we should do, and life will return us well. There will be a miracle if there is perseverance.

Yesterday I watched the movie 'Inception'.It was really awesome.The setting of the movie resembles that of 'The Matrix',which also questions the existence of the real world.In fact,ancienct philosophers from China and Greek,such as Zhuang Zi and Plato,doubted the reality of our world thousands of years ago.Yet the movie demonstrated the idea in a more appealing and dramatic way.The plot was full of suspenses and conundrums.I admired the courage and intelligence of the protagonist.But what impressed me most was the friendship and love between the people in the movie.I have learnt that great things cannot be done without teamwork.

Today I watched the movie 'Sherlock Holmes',perhaps the most well-known detective movie in the world.I love to watch the Holmes detecive series since childhood and I am familiar with every case he solved.The movie enthralls me bacause it shows the other side of Holmes.In the movie he was not only intelligent,but also romantic and mascular.The movie may altered the image of Holmes,yet I found it entertaining as it contains many interesting elements--fights,romance and adventure.I would like to see more alteration of this kind.
I am surprised about the negative comments that some people made on this web-page.I can see how some people might not experience the same kind of uplift or joy that most of us lived through when seeing the movie.But that some viewers felt insulted and betrayed because the movie did not depict "reality" as it really was or is,is not fair.
I must concur with my fellow proponents of the movie -- it was a great and very satisfying movie.It provided me with something that everyone in one or another shape or form needs -- Hope.The movie showed the cruelty of life and yet managed to shed some light and insight into the beauty of love and life in general.
I urge anyone who has not seen La Vita è bella to go out there and watch it.If we all take with us just little bit of that hope and love that this movie is trying to convey; this world would be a much better place.
